Albany’s first Chick-fil-A opens
Albany's first Chick-fil-A opens at 944 Central Ave.
The Capital Region’s newest Chick-fil-A opened in Albany on Thursday.
The new restaurant at 944 Central Avenue is open from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday to Saturday.
The new location will create approximately 120 full-time and part-time jobs.
It is owned by Michael Gray, who has served with Chick-fil-A for 13 years.
Gray’s restaurant plans to contribute to charity here in the Capital Region. That includes a $25,000 donation to Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York, and a Chick-fil-A program to donate surplus food to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need.
