New doggy ice cream shop opens in East Greenbush

Summertime is the perfect time for some ice cream – and that goes for more than just us humans.

The Doggy Bag Ice Cream Shop is now open in East Greenbush. The shop is located just off Route 4 near the intersection with Route 151.

You and your four-legged friend can both enjoy a frozen treat there.

The menu for humans includes soft serve vanilla, chocolate and a twist. For dogs, there is the Hoggin’ Dogs brand of vanilla, banana, peanut or bacon ice cream.

“I hope we can help a lot of dogs in the area, I think it’s hard to find something that’s all natural without the preservatives,” said Robin Pugliese, with The Doggy Bag. “So I just hope our business just keeps growing, and more people find us, and enjoy our little store as much as we do.”
