New EV charging hub opens at Colonie library

The town of Colonie unveiled its first electric vehicle charging station on Tuesday. It’s at the William K. Sanford Library.
There are eight charging spots available.
This is all part of the town’s goal to earn silver certification in the New York State Climate Smart Community Designation, according to Town Supervisor Peter Crummey.
The town earned a bronze certification back in April of last year.
