A Niskayuna man was sentenced Monday to over 11 years in prison for possessing child pornography.

Aaron Griesche, 41, had previously admitted to U.S. District Court to having child pornography on a USB flash drive at his residence. He told investigators that he transferred numerous videos from the internet onto the device, the U.S. Attorney’s office said.

The judge ordered Griesche to pay $18,000 in restitution to child victims depicted in the files.  He must also have 10 years of supervised release.
