North Bennington lake closed after child drowns

A lake in North Bennington is closed all week, after a child drowned there.

The 9-year-old child drowned in Lake Paran on Friday morning.

When police arrived, they found that child underwater and unresponsive.

The child was rushed to a nearby hospital, and sadly did not survive.

The lake will be closed through Friday.
