Pair charged in theft from Amsterdam Home Depot

Two Montgomery County residents are accused of stealing from Home Depot in Amsterdam, last Thursday.

Dimitrious Koulouris, 44, ran out the fire escape door with several items, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said. He fled in a black Mercedes driven by Angelia Jo Ortiz, 38, investigators said.

The car was stopped on Miami Avenue, and the pair was found with the stolen items, investigators said.

Both Koulouris and Ortiz had warrants for previous thefts, according to investigators.

Both were charged with petit larceny, burglary and conspiracy.

Ortiz faces other charges for allegedly having suspended registration and no car insurance.

Dimitrious was sent to Montgomery County Jail without bail. Ortiz was released and is due in court at a later date.
