The Pittsfield Schools superintendent is stepping down. Superintendent Joseph Curtis announced he will resign at the end of June, according to NewsChannel 13's media partners at the Berkshire Eagle, Curtis says the decision was made on his own.

He has served the district since he was first hired back in 2021.
As NewsChannel 13 has reported, Pittsfield schools have been in the spotlight of several recent scandals this school year.
A number of administrators were put on paid administrative leave for allegations of drug trafficking and misconduct.
