Superintendent Joseph Curtis announced he will resign at the end of June.

Curtis says the decision was made on his own, NewsChannel 13’s media partners at The Berkshire Eagle reported.

He has served the district since he was first hired back in 2021.

As NewsChannel 13 has reported, Pittsfield schools have been in the spotlight of several recent scandals this school year.

A number of administrators were put on paid administrative leave for allegations of drug trafficking and misconduct.
