Police: Albany man used fake money at Dunkin’
State Police have arrested an Albany man for making purchases with fake money – including a at two separate Dunkin’ Donuts.
Tafari Guthrie, 29, is accused of using counterfeit currency to pay for food at a Clifton Park business in June, which resulted in a theft to the business of $100. He also is accused passing fake money at Dunkin’ locations in Clifton Park and Halfmoon on Sept. 6.
Guthrie was arrested by the East Greenbush Police Department on Sept. 25 and charged with three counts of possession of a forged instrument and three counts of petit larceny. He was issued appearance tickets and due in court at a later date.
