Two people accused of stealing U-Haul van
Two people accused of stealing U-Haul van in Albany.
Albany Police arrested two people for allegedly stealing a U-Haul on Thursday morning.
Officers responded to 139 Broadway for reports of a burglary in progress. The investigation determined that Niquell Rouse, 31, and Ahlim Muhammad, 27, broken the glass door to enter the business, police said. Then, they allegedly stole a set of keys and took a van.
Police found the two suspects in the stolen vehicle in the area of Quail Street and Elk Street and arrested them.
They were each charged with grand larceny and criminal mischief. They are due in Albany City Criminal Court Thursday morning.
