Police: Amsterdam woman sold drugs to police source

An Amsterdam woman is accused of selling drugs.

Maria Core-Santana, 41, had a quantity of narcotics and packaging products consistent with the sale and trafficking of narcotics during a search of her home on Bunn Street, Amsterdam Police said.

Core-Santana was the subject of a six-month drug investigation into the sale of controlled substances within the city, according to police. She allegedly sold a controlled substance to a police source.

Core-Santana was charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal use of drug paraphernalia.

She was arraigned in Amsterdam City Court.
