Police: Burnt Hills man hit woman, violated protection order

A Burnt Hills man is accused of hitting a woman.

Ryan A. Madigan, 36, struck the woman at a residence in the town of Ballston, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office said. The woman had an order of protection prohibiting Madigan from contacting her.

Madigan was charged with a felony count of aggravated criminal contempt and misdemeanor assault. He was arraigned in Malta Town Court and sent to Saratoga County Jail. Bail was set at $5,000 cash, $10,000 bond or $50,000 partially secured bond.
