A Cohoes man is accused of stealing more than $3,000 from Lowe’s on multiple occasions.

State Police said James E. Thornton, 56, took merchandise during more than a half-dozen visits to the Halfmoon store from July 2024 and September 2024.

A warrant was issued in December and Thornton was arrested on Jan. 8

He was arraigned in Halfmoon Town Court on a charge of grand larceny and sent to Saratoga County Jail in lieu of $2,000 cash, $4,000 bond or $4,000 partially secured bond.
