Police: Ex-manager stole money from Warren County cabin rental

A Plattsburgh man is accused of stealing from a Warren County cabin rental business when he worked as the general manager there.

Spencer C. Thibault, 32, allegedly took $8,800 in cash received for a rental at Canoe Island Lodge in the town of Bolton last May. He also altered business records to try to cover up the theft, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office said.

Thibault was charged with felony counts of grand larceny, forgery and falsifying business records. He was arraigned in Queensbury Town Court and released on his own recognizance. Thibault is due back in court at a later date.
