Police: Fonda man lied about car being stolen
A Fonda man is accused of lying about his car being stolen.
Dillon R. Pine, 24, said back on Sept. 23 that his 2024 Mercedes-Benz 350 Series was taken from the driveway of his residence in Mohawk, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
Police investigated and said Pine let someone drive the vehicle and it had not even been taken.
The vehicle was later found with help from Yonkers Police Department.
Dillon was charged with misdemeanor counts of making a punishable false written statement and falsely reporting an incident.
He was released on an appearance ticket and due in Glen Town Court at a later date.
