Police: Fort Edward man violated protection order

Police arrested a Fort Edward man on Wednesday evening for allegedly violating an order of protection.

John B. Fleeman, 26, contacted a person in violation of the order, investigators said. Police arrested him after responding to a disturbance call in the village of Schuylerville. His charge was upgraded to a felony because he has a previous conviction for criminal contempt in the last five years, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office said.

Fleeman was arraigned in Galway Town Court and sent without bail to Saratoga County Jail.
