Police looking for man in connection with Bennington County assault

Vermont State Police are looking for a Bennington County man in connection with an assault.

Paul St. Pierre, 34, of Pownal, has been charged with aggravated domestic assault and unlawful restraint and interference with access to emergency services. The alleged incident happened just after 2:30 a.m. on Oct. 2 at a home on Montgomery Road in Pownal.

Police were unable to find Pierre at that time. Troopers returned later in the day to the property on Montgomery Road in an effort to arrest him. However, he was not in the residence or on the property.
