Police: Malta man drove with forged license plate, suspended registration

A Malta man has been arrested for allegedly having a forged license plate.

Kenneth J. Rossen, 61, was stopped on the Northway in Clifton Park on May 28 just before 1:30 a.m. for not having a plate lamp and failure to signal a lane change, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.

Rossen had a fake temporary license plate on his vehicle and was operating with a suspended registration and suspended license for not answering a summons or paying a fine, police said.

Rossen was charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended or revoked registration and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. He also faces violations of having improper plates and failure to signal.

He was issued appearance tickets and is due back in Clifton Park Town Court at a later date.
