Police: Man drove drunk, caused crash on I-88

A man is facing a felony DWI charge after a crash on I-88.

Troopers responded to a report of an erratic driver on Aug. 18 around 2:30 p.m. in Cobleskill.

State Police said Liam Patrick-Mollnow, 19, struck an eastbound vehicle, when he attempted to pass it on the left shoulder. The crash happened in a work zone in Princetown.

Patrick-Mollnow has a blood alcohol concentration of 0.14%, according to police. The DWI charge was upgraded to a felony because he has a previous conviction within the last 10 years.

He was released on tickets and due in Princetown Town Court on Sept. 4.
