Police: Man was asleep at the wheel in Taco Bell parking lot

A West Sand Lake man was arrested last week after North Greenbush police say he was slumped over the wheel of his vehicle in a Taco Bell parking lot.

It happened just after 4:15 p.m. on Feb. 17. William Keenan allegedly was found asleep with a hypodermic syringe sticking out of his leg. His vehicle was still in gear.

Officers woke him up and determined he was not in a condition to drive a vehicle. He also had narcotics, police said.

Keenan was charged with misdemeanor counts of driving while impaired by drugs and criminal possession of a controlled substance. He is due in court at a later date.
