Police: Rensselaer County woman charged with DWI after driving off road

A West Sand Lake woman is facing charges after police said she drove drunk was went off the roadway in North Greenbush.

The incident happened on Aug. 8 just before 5 p.m. Holly Rice, allegedly was driving, when she crossed the center divider line and went onto the shoulder of Whiteview Road several times. The vehicle went up Judd Lane, left the road onto a grassy area before turning around, police said. Officers stopped her.

Rice failed field sobriety test and was arrested, police said. She was taken to Samaritan Hospital for a blood test and medical treatment. She was released to appear in court at a later date.
