Police: Schenectady man had meth in vehicle

A Schenectady man is accused of having around 1 ½ pounds of methamphetamine.
State Police stopped a vehicle on the Northway in Wilton on Feb. 24 just before 4 p.m. for a traffic violation. The passenger was 25-year-old Lateef K. Roberts.
With the help of a Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office K-9 officer, troopers found the controlled substances in Roberts’ belongings. Police seized them and arrested him.
Roberts was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. The driver was released without any criminal charges.
Roberts was arraigned in Wilton Town Court and sent without bail to Saratoga County Jail.
