Police: Troy man drove drunk, had drugs
A Troy man is facing drunk driving and drug charges.
State Police stopped Marquis D. Venable, 36, on Oakwood Avenue in Brunswick just before 2:30 a.m. for a traffic violation.
Venable was charged with DWI. While being processed, police found felony-weight narcotics in his body. He allegedly tried to destroy the drugs.
Venable was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence, obstructing governmental administration, DWI and other traffic violations.
He was arraigned in Troy City Court and sent without bail to Rensselaer County Jail.
