Police: Troy woman threatened to burn down Taco Bell

State Police said a Troy woman spit at a Taco Bell employee and threatened to burn down the restaurant.

It happened on Feb. 14 around 5:15 p.m. at the restaurant in Brunswick.

Sarah Place, 19, was asked to leave, but refused, police said. Place allegedly threw items at the victim and displayed what appeared to be a firearm. It was later found to be a BB gun.

Police found Place at her home and she was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, menacing, making a threat of mass harm and harassment. She was arraigned at the Schaghticoke Town Court and sent to Rensselaer County Jail.
