Police: Woman drove drunk, crashed vehicle into creek
A Hamilton County woman is accused of driving drunk and crashing her vehicle into a creek last month.
On Nov. 1, around 3:15 a.m., State Police responded to a report of a woman hurt in the area of Tanner Road in Hope. Troopers found an unoccupied vehicle that crashed off the roadway into a creek on Creek Road.
Police said they found the driver Elizabeth Ryan, 45, of Piseco, at a residence on Hope Falls Road. She was taken to the hospital for her injuries.
Ryan allegedly refused to provide a sample to determine her blood alcohol concentration.
She was charged with DWI. Police said she has a previous DWI conviction and did not have a valid driver’s license at the time of the crash.
Rayn turned herself into police on Dec. 8. She is due in court on Jan. 7.
