Rensselaer man admits to having ammunition illegally

A Rensselaer man pleaded guilty on Monday to illegally possessing ammunition.
James Edwards, 30, admitted in U.S. District Court that on Oct. 8, 2024, he had more than 40 rounds of various caliber ammunition. He is banned from having ammunition because of a previous felony conviction, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Edwards faces up to 15 years in prison when sentenced on Aug. 5.
