A Rensselaer man accused of trying to meet a 15-year-old boy for sex has pleaded not guilty.

A Rensselaer man accused of trying to meet a 15-year-old boy for sex has pleaded not guilty, according to NewsChannel 13’s media partners at the Berkshire Eagle.

David Stypa was arrested in Pittsfield back in May and is charged with child enticement.

According to court documents, Stypa was chatting online with who he thought was a teen boy, but was actually an undercover state trooper.

After agreeing to meet with the boy in Pittsfield, police arrested him.

Stypa denies he was there to meet with an underage boy for sex.

His bail hearing is scheduled for July 31.
