Rotterdam man headed to federal prison for illegal gun possession

A Rotterdam man was sentenced on Monday to 27 months, over two years in prison, for illegally having a shotgun.

Jesse Taber, 46, had previously pleaded guilty to having a 12-gauge shotgun on Dec. 26, 2023 inside his home. Taber is banned from having guns because of three previous felony convictions, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.

Taber also received three years of post-release supervision.
