New Scotland Spirits in Albany hosted its third annual Ruck March on Sunday.
The military training exercise makes participants get from point A to point B with a bunch of essentials on their back. Those items they carried for 6.8 miles were then donated to the Food Pantries for the Capital District.
“It’s about comradery. It’s about getting people together. It’s about supporting charitable causes and in so doing, developing the type of connections that we often don’t get once we leave the military,” said Jesse Sommer, the co-owner of New Scotland Spirits.
The third annual event also benefitted veterans organizations Hidden Battles Foundation and Boot Campaign.
