More than $560,000 will support a local library.

Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara announced the Amsterdam Free Library is one of several recipients of funding secured for library construction projects across the state.

The library plans to build a new three-story addition, providing expanded resources and services.

There are plans for new meeting spaces, a multi-use community room, educational spaces, and an instructional kitchen.
