There’s growing concerns about disruptions and delays in healthcare benefits for 9/11 first responders.
To combat some of the moves from the Trump administration, Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara has introduced the 9/11 First Responders Emergency Healthcare Access Act.
It seeks to ensure timely and uninterrupted care for all those who risked everything in service to the nation.
“The men and women who stood tall on one of our darkest days should never have to wait for the care they deserve,” Santabarbara said in a statement.
A major provision of the bill includes a fund of up to $5 million annually to cover medical treatment, prescriptions, and urgent care.
