Saratoga Spa State Park is getting an electric infrastructure upgrade.

New York State Parks is giving more than $6 million to the park.

The money will be used to replace outdated transformers, cables, and switches and modernize the power grid. It will also triple the electrical capacity of the park.

The goal of this project to ensure Saratoga Spa State Park has a reliable electrical system to serve the park’s 3.6 million annual visitors.

The upgrades are expected to be complete by December.
