Kuczynsk kicks off write-in campaign for DPW commissioner in Saratoga Springs.

The current commissioner of public works in Saratoga Springs launched his candidacy Wednesday to win the job permanently.

Hank Kuczynksi is running a write-in campaign for the position, as he will not be on the ballot. Kuczynski was appointed to the position in November.

The other candidate is Republican Chuck Marshall.

The seat became vacant when Jason Golub resigned to take a state job.

Early voting starts on Saturday. The special election is on Jan. 28.
