Saratoga Springs DPW commissioner resigns for new state job
Saratoga Springs Department of Public Works Commissioner Jason Golub is resigning his position to take a job with the New York State Department of Corrections.
Saratoga Springs Department of Public Works Commissioner Jason Golub is resigning his position to take a job with the New York State Department of Corrections.
Golub, who in 2022 became the first Black person to serve on the Saratoga Springs City Council, has been named general counsel and deputy commissioner of the Department of Corrections.
He will stay with the city until August 19, when he starts in his new role with the state, he told NewsChannel 13.
The remaining four members of the council are expected to choose a person to fill Golub’s position on an interim basis.
