The New York State Thruway Authority is warning drivers of a text scam regarding E-ZPass.

Scammers are sending text or email requesting sensitive personal information such as credit card number, Social Security, usernames and passwords, the department said.

They advise everyone to ignore the scam message and to give them a call if you have any questions regarding your bill or account.
