Schenectady County man gets over 2 years in prison for child porn

A Schenectady County man was sentenced on Wednesday to over 2 years in prison for possessing child pornography.

Timothy “Mitch” Duell, 48, had previously pleaded guilty to possessing sexually explicit images of a child under the age of 12, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said. He also participated in online chats in which he discussed his interest in having sex with that child.

Duell received 30 months in prison and 10 months of post-release supervision. He also must register as a sex offender when he is released from prison.
