Expansion and renovation is starting for the Schenectady County Recreational Facility and Ice Rink.

The plan includes more than 4,000 square feet of additional space.

The rink will have four new locker rooms, a new changing room and a larger front entrance.

The plan also includes a new room for activities, and it adds about 30 spaces to the parking lot.

The facility will be renamed the Schenectady County Ray Wemple Memorial Rink. It is located at 5 Tower Road.
