Schenectady man accused of possessing child pornography

A Schenectady man is accused of possessing child pornography.
State Police said James M. Coffey, 25, had images consistent with sexual exploitation. Investigators found the image during a search of his home on Friday.
The investigation stemmed from a cyber tip received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Coffey was charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing a sexual performance by a child. He was arraigned in Schenectady City Court and sent to Schenectady County Jail in lieu of $3,000 cash bail.
