Local students are being recognized for their efforts in the battle against blood cancers.

The Scotia-Glenville Central School District says their team, “Rays of Hope,” is committed to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Student Visionaries Initiative.

For the past seven weeks, these students have focused on the vital mission of patient support, they said.

They say not only did the team exceed their fundraising goal, but they also earned the Mission Pillar Award.

The district says the students’ achievements will resonate far beyond this moment.
