Sentencing delayed for man found guilty of killing hip-hop artist Sentencing has been delayed for the man accused of killing a hip-hop artist in Albany. Tyshaun Purvis, 32, shot and killed Dominique Eley in Albany in July 2022. The shooting happened near North Pearl Street and Livingston Avenue in the middle of the day. Eley performed all over the East Coast. She also created youth advocacy programs and gave back to the community.

Sentencing has been delayed for the man accused of killing a hip-hop artist in Albany. Tyshaun Purvis was scheduled to be in Albany County Court on Friday, but sentencing has been rescheduled for Aug. 22 at 9:30 a.m.

Purvis, 32, shot and killed Dominique Eley in Albany in July 2022. The shooting happened near North Pearl Street and Livingston Avenue in the middle of the day.

Eley performed all over the East Coast. She also created youth advocacy programs and gave back to the community.

Purvis was convicted in May of second-degree murder, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
