Sheriff: Amsterdam exposed himself while being booked on DWI charge

An Amsterdam man is accused of drunken driving and exposing himself when he was being booked.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies stopped Lucas A. Ellington, 21, on Route 5S in the town of Florida after they received a call that he was driving in the oncoming lane, according to investigators.

Ellington was arrested and charged with DWI.

Ellington allegedly became unruly at the sheriff’s office. He exposed himself and tampered with an agency recording device, according to investigators.

Ellington was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI, public lewdness and tampering with physical evidence. He was released on appearance tickets.

Ellington is due in Florida Town Court on the DWI-related charges and in Glen Town Court for the other offenses.
