Sheriff: South Glens Falls woman received illegal welfare benefits

A South Glens Falls woman is accused of receiving improper welfare benefits.

Breanna M. Johnson, 29, allegedly received more than $1,000 in benefits from the Washington County Department of Socials Services for which she was not eligible, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

Johnson was charged with grand larceny. She was released on an appearance ticket and due in Fort Edward Town Court at a later date.
