State lawmakers call on Hochul to pass Working Families Tax Credit

State lawmakers are pushing for more money in the pockets of families.

The Working Families Tax Credit would raise the maximum credit to $1,600 per child and set the minimum at $100. It would also eliminate the cap on the number of eligible kids.

Advocates also want to see tax credits paid out quarterly instead of once a year. Legislators were meeting Monday at the state Capitol to advocate for it.
