NewsChannel 13 reported back in September that the company is purchasing Jolley Associates Convenience Stores.
As part of this acquisition, there’s a little bit of overlap where Stewart’s had shops and Jolley had shops.
This sale is something normal, done so there is no concern about a lack of competition, Stewart’s said.
A representative from Stewart’s Shops said there a Stewart’s, and a Jolley Shop in Queensbury.
The Stewart’s is at the Queensbury outlets. The Jolley is on Aviation Road. Both are being sold to another operator.
A Jolley is also being sold in Manchester, Vt., along with two other stores outside the Capital Region.
The company wants to sell them to somebody in the same industry, so they’re not owned and operated by Stewart’s Shops, they said.
