Suspect damages Hoosick Falls Police car during transport

A Hoosick Falls Police car was heavily damaged earlier this month when a suspect was being transported.

The incident happened on July 10 around 9 p.m. but police released the information on Sunday.

The suspect, whose name was not released, was charged with criminal mischief.

The man was arraigned in Hoosick Falls Town Court and sent to Rensselaer County Jail on bail of $7,500 cash or $15,000 bond.

The Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police helped with the investigation.
