As holiday travel is underway, the New York State Thruway Authority is warning drivers of a scam. E-ZPass or tolls by mail will never send an email or contact you requesting sensitive personal information such as your credit card number, Social Security number, usernames, passwords, etc.

E-ZPass or tolls by mail will never send an email or contact you requesting sensitive personal information such as your credit card number, Social Security number, usernames, passwords, etc.

If you do receive these types of requests, you’re advised not to provide any information.
