Troy apartment building deemed safe after carbon monoxide alarm

There is a red notice on the door of Taylor Apartments saying carbon monoxide is reading at a high level – 4,000 parts per million. NewsChannel 13 went to the apartments and contacted the city of Troy and National Grid.
The city of Troy says an alarm went off at 9 p.m. Sunday night, but “there were no carbon monoxide readings in the building. It was a problem with the venting of a hot water heater that has been identified and unplugged.”
They went on to say that the owner is responsible for replacing the alarm.
There were no evacuations and everyone in the building is safe.
