Troy man admits to leaving halfway house
A Troy man has pleaded guilty to leaving a halfway house.
Dyshawn Fisher, 39, admitted in federal court on Tuesday that he left the Horizon House Residential Reentry Center on Oct. 1, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.
Fisher was sentenced in November 2020 to over 5 years in prison after being convicted on weapon and drug charges. He was transferred to Horizon House in Albany on Oct 10, 2023. He then left the facility without approval and was at large in the community until he was arrested in Cohoes on Oct. 17, 2024.
Fisher faces up to 5 years in prison when sentenced on April 2.
