Troy mayor expects biggest Turkey Trot ever

Organizers gave an overview Wednesday of this year’s race.
This will be the 77th running of the Troy Turkey Trot.
The mayor says she expects this year to be the biggest turnout of runners and walkers ever.
On top of being an event to promote fun, family and fitness, it’s also a fundraiser for two local charities.
It supports Joseph’s House & Shelter and the Regional Food Bank.
The event kicks off Thanksgiving morning at 8 a.m. with the 10K, followed by the school mile and the turkey walk.
The biggest race, the 5K, begins at 10 a.m.
