A walkout ceremony took place Thursday for Capt. Anthony Conyers at the Troy Police Station.
He served 20 years with Troy Police Department, first joining back in 2004.
He played a big role in the community, notably establishing a reading program with the department and local schools.
Conyers made an impact every single day, the city said.
