Troy Detective Sergeant Brandon Cipperly was promoted to the rank of captain on Wednesday.

The ceremony was held at Troy City Hall.

The city said this significant milestone recognizes Cipperly’s exceptional dedication, leadership, and years of service to the community and the department.

Cipperly joined the Troy Police Department in 2008, beginning his law enforcement career as a patrolman on the midnight shift.

Throughout his 17-year career in the department, Cipperly has worked in several positions, most recently as a detective sergeant.
